A Pic Parker Would be Proud Of

January 18, 2012 | 10:12 AM | By trades_department | In General

Hey Gang,

It RARELY happens that Wednesday comes along and I DON'T have a picture for the blog ready. This week was one of those weeks.

We've been sooooo busy in the Trades Dept. lately! Between all the AMAZING Trades, Hard Covers and Omnibuses we have planned for 2012, plus gearing up for what is sure to be the biggest super hero blockbuster of all time--this summer's, MARVEL's The Avengers--and not to mention all the time Alex Starbuck takes off in the winter entering snowboard tournaments all over the world, it's no doubt that finding time for my usual silly picture can be difficult! But I think someone once said something about hard work paying off.

Case in point: Yesterday, after pulling a late night in the office, as I was walking to the subway I just happened to see this coming from the Baxter building...

Now, I'm not sure what cataclysmic-multiverse-threatening event was happening but I am happy that it was happening the same week ESSENTIAL FANTASTIC FOUR VOL.5 was going to be featured on this week's blog! (And I also hope whatever did happen involved a lot of other heroes so we can get at least 5 books out of it!)((Plus the mere fact that I'm back at work today typing this proves that the FF took care of whatever was going on! I'll have to ask Mr. Brevoort. I think he has their unlisted number on speed dial!!))

Anyway, also out this week...

• MARVEL POINT ONE II

• THE TWELVE VOL.1

• AVENGERS: SOLO AVENGERS CLASSIC VOL.1

• STRIKEFORCE: MORITURI VOL.1

• MARVEL MASTERWORKS: THE UNCANNY X-MEN VOL.4

• DEADPOOL CLASSIC VOL.6

See you next week,
Nelson Ribeiro

Hope people give Strikeforce:Morituri a try. This book never got the praise that it deserved (at least, until Peter Gillis left it).

Human Torch in business school. Was a good read.
