i have loved reading comics since about 1991, when i was 8. my first issue was http://www.coverbrowser.com/image/fantastic-four/358-3.jpg, which i got from a grocery store. i had no idea what was going on, since i just jumped into the end of the lyla/skrull arc, when she was pretending to be johnny's gf. this was to be my one and only ff comic. from there to 1997 i had a bunch of random comics, that were bought on whims and usually in groups of 10-20 from stores. in 1997 i finally decided to go collect a comic and it was Deadpool, #7 to be exact. him vs t-ray, wasnt much of a battle, but i loved joe kelly's writing, which really appealed to me as a 14 year old. from there to 2004, i collected all the deadpool issues i could, including agent x. then when he tag teamed with cable, i stopped collecting, as the novelty had run out for me. and i didnt like the idea of a team book for wade. then i stopped collecting books, until world war hulk in 2007. i stopped reading comics for 5 years, until i saw an issue of WWH at my friends place, and it got me back into the marvelverse. i read planet hulk shortly thereafter and looked back at my older comics to see what i could get into again. i picked up daredevil, whom i always had a soft spot for because we shared the same first name and i enjoyed his street stories. also picked up many others including thor, capt. america, and iron fist since then. also developed a love for mark millar. OML is still one of the best arcs of all time for me. as of now, ive been hard at collecting for 3 years and show no signs of stopping.
