Don't know but found out there's a website for the TV series. I haven't explored it that much yet though.

    www.shieldtv.net

I'm guessing, it will be on ABC in Fall 2013. According to the website, it hasn't been officially picked up though.

I think AIM could be pretty cool villains on this show, making it an Alias meets the X-Files. Fury, Clint and Natasha should be mentioned but not seen by the low ranking agents this show will be about.

I think they are going to try to keep it relatively 'normal' based on the 'Something Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer' short.

Though I'm thinking closer to Smallville than Arrow. Powers from day one, but starting small and building over time.

That said, Marvel Universe is large and expansive, and relatively few are tied up in other companies. (And those possibly negotiated into the show rather than a movie.)

I think Renner and ScarJo are not going to go near it....first off they are "big" stars...they do movies.  Not that there is anything wrong with that...but I do not see Disney/Marvel ponying up the money for them to do the show.

second...Whedon has said he wants it to be "independent" of the movie universe....in continuity but seperate.

My thought on bringing those (and other) characters in is to expand the universe and possibly 'test" certain characters/actors for bigger roles in future movies.  Can you imagine a Spider-Woman movie with Summer Glau running around in skin tight red and yellow......doing her River Tam ninja moves on bad guys?

Spider-woman?  MOCKINGBIRD??  Awe, it's on now!!  (hehe)

Clintasha all the way baby.  But yeah, I can see how it might work better with all new characters & just Coulson.  I'd like some cameos though.  Maybe a 3-4 episode Clintasha run.  Also it seems most of this is before the movie in time, so could possibly address Budapest ;).  I'd like to see it succeed (of course) then do something with how the characters deal with the helicarrier attact & new York, one of them dies of course, and then Nat & Clint cameos in the next episode & they're dealing with the mind control thing.  So much great things they could do with this show!

    Here's something I found:

Not news...just some thoughts.  Keep the movie characters out except for Phil.

Use some other minor characters for quest appearances.

Summer Glau as Spider-Woman / Agent Jessica Drew

Laura Vandervoort as Mockingbird / Agent Barbara Morse

Molly Quinn (daugher on Castle) as Firestar / Angelica Jones

maybe a single episode or 2-3 episode arc.

Any news on the show that will include Coulson?  Is it live action?  Will it also feature black widow & hawkeye?  That could be a good place to go into more of their back story if Marvel isn't going to do it in their own movies or any of the other movies.  They could show old missions, Clint dealing with the effects and heartaches of the Loki mind control, & so much more!  Just think... Budapest... in debth... mmm... (but ONLY if they can get Renner & Johannson!  Wouldn't be the same without them).
Another fun idea: flashback to Fury in the 70's with an afro... (say "what" again!)
    Thoughts?  Info?
