I like your idea Thunder_ & I think they could even use the exact deleted scene & it would work.  Another way to introduce it would be a scene where Winter Soldier appears and Cap says "Bucky?!" and Natasha says "Alexi?!" (going off a theory that the Red Room had Winter Soldier as Natasha's former husband who she thought was dead.  They probably won't go that route though).

I think there will be more between Bucky & Natasha than just old comrades.  Should make things interesting.  Here's hoping she ends up with Barton!  Renner does SUCH a good job with him (the joke in many fandoms being that all of Renner's prior movies were Barton undercover on a mission)

As far as Cap and Peggy go - not to get all sappy about it - I think it would be great if they use a scene based on the deleted scene from the Avengers where Cap sadly goes through personel files from the SSR, seeing one old friend referred to as deceased after another (including Bucky) and finally coming to Peggy's file where she's listed as alive and living in London. Then a short scene where Cap finds Peggy had lived a long happy life with kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

And then, Natasha comes to him, letting him know about a Super-Soldier program that the Soviet Union had experimented on...and the Winter Soldier.

I think Marvel will go for an Earths Mightiest Heroes cartoon story which involved the Winter Soldier and Red Skull! Hopefully not because they had a load of robots like Octo-Bots in it but it would be cool to have the Red Skull in it anyway! Hopefully there will be something about how Fury lost his eye!

It seems a given that there will be at least some romantic history between Black Widow and Winter Soldier in the movie.  Anyone want to take bets on whether or not the movies put Bucky as her former husband?  I also imagine they'll go into the Red Room a bit.  Maybe they'll be the main villian?  I'd like to see them address how the Red Room altered her body to cause spontaneous miscarriage.  Very tragic.  BUT... she now has two of the smartest people in the world as friends...

Anyway, hope Clint & Natasha end up together.  Hopefully not in this movie though.  I'd like to see them drag it out a little longer.  Looking forward to a love interest for Cap, & hopefully one last visit with a very old Peggy.

Neat bit of trivia:  the guy cast to play "Falcon" in the movie appeared alongside Renner in "The Hurt Locker."  Let's get some bird jokes in this movie! :p

I totally agree with you ROMY4me! The chemisrty and set up for Clint/Natasha just works. I think to make romance between Bucky would be too fast in CA2. I like the idea of Capt and Sharon in the movie though.. :-)

well, it looks like they're going with Bucky, as "Winter Soldier" is in the title.

I just HOPE BEYOND ALL HOPE that they're not planning on getting movie black widow together with the Winter Soldier in present time, as she BELONGS with Hawkeye.  Seriously folks, if you watched the movie half awake you saw their chemistry.

Plus marvel, do you have ANY idea how many people follow the Clintasha SHIP???  Just look up all the fanfiction.

anyone agree with me that Black Widow and Hawkeye belong together?  I think a fun thing for future movies would be the different characters teasing Clint & Natasha about the feelings they refuse to admit (especially Stark) and pushing them towards it, although I imagine Cap would be polite yet honest with his new friends.  He does have something to say about not letting your opportunity slip away, because you never know (when you'll be frozen for 70 years and your love with either be dead or far too old when you awake).  Hopefully they go into what Peggy did with her life in Cap 2.

America's involvement in WW2 was a little less than 4 years. 12-7-1941 (but combat started later) through Aug. 9, 1945.

I really liked the Captain America movie... initially thought it was about as good as you could have hoped for with a character that presents as many challenges for a movie as Cap does... nice guy, wears a flag, odd weapon etc

A friend of mine pointed out that one thing he found disappointing was the fact that in view of preparing for the Avenger's movie, they rushed the character forward into the 21st century... got through 2-5 years of Captain America fighting and becoming the legend that he was in a 90min movie.

I thought that was an interesting point and whilst TFA was a great film... something was missed out on there.

For that reason, IMO the sequel to this movie should delve back into WW2.

I don't know the angle exactly but I think what would work really well is if you had a storyline where what Cap is dealing with in the present, links back to something that happened in the past. you see this type of angle in the comics books all the time.

The appropriate Villain??? Gotta be Baron Zemo. The angle leads into Cap dealing with Baron Helmut Zemo in WW2 and dealing with modern Zemo in the present.

The piece de'resistance is that in the end!!!

W1nter Soldier gets set up as the major villain for Cap 3 (after having a msyterious/unclear role w/o a back story in Cap 2 [til the end at least]).

Baron Zemo gets introduced and switches over to the Avengers franchise with the aim of building up to a Masters of Evil in Avengers 3

What do you think? Personally, I would love to see it
