Well FOX have said it either gets a reboot or dropped entirely. But FX don't seem likely to drop it since that means they'll lose the rights.

Yes the Fantastic Four franchise is indeed getting rebooted. This has been stated as early as 2009 that it was getting rebooted.

I didn't know that FF was getting a reboot, I feel a little better about him playing the Cap now, thanks.  I still kinda wish he didn't have a gun inthe movie though, I mean his signature "weapon" is his shield and combat training, but all I can see is that gun holster.

i still can't get over the guns, i thought Captain america was a hero that stood for peace and freedom although he was a war hero.  I just can't look at him the same way and on top of that they have Chris Evans A.K.A. the Human torch playing as the Captain.  Won't that throw off the Fantastic Four series of movies?  Why couldn't they get a G.I. Joe actor or maybe even the Avatar actor, why Chris instead of them?  Can some one answer me  this?

Well personally I don't see any problem with him having played Human Torch (especially since Fantastic Four is getting rebooted anyway), to me it's no different than Anthony Hopkins as both Hannibal Lector and Odin. They're just different roles in different films.

And from what I remember reading in interviews they chose Chris because they felt he had the strongest values and ideals and character that fit Cap. They said he felt like he fit the character from the first moment of the audition.

And personally I'm glad they didn't fo with anyone from GI Joe or Avatar, in both I found all the actors played their characters rather blandly. Though that could be more representative of the script or direction rather than acting skill.

They're WHAT!  USO?  Are you frelling kidding me?  Cap was made to be a Super Soldier--a Super Soldier--not some little patriotical entertainment!  This is an outrage!  First there was making Fury black--hello!  reverse discrimination much?--now this!  I don't care if this is part time thing, you better have a good reason for putting Captain America in the USO, of all places!  Gah, why can't you people ever stick to the original storylines?

What the frak? So they're still gonna have Cap singing and dancing? That's stupid. If anything, they should do Ultimate Cap's WWII uniform if they think that a SUPERHERO costume looks too unbelievable for a SUPERHERO movie that they have to find a "logical" explanation.
