As I understand from conversations with mods that this is just a bug. I'm guessing a webmaster was fiddling around with ideas and set this up, but it either wasn't supposed to be implemented or they forgot to tell the mods or set up a way for the mods to be alerted to these flags.

I've been told by a high ranking mod to "do everything in your power to bypass this bug."

Here's how everyone can bypass it:

    1. Copy your post before submitting. This is also important since the auto-logout bug is still active.

    2. Submit the post.

    3. If the moderator approval bug happens, then repost, but this time post something very simple, such as a single letter.

    4. Submit the new simple post. It should go through without the mod approval bug.

    5. Now, edit the simple post and paste your original post in place of the single letter.

    6. Resubmit your original post. It should go through without a problem.

You should not go through these steps anymore.  They have found the bug. From my understanding...b/c of the huge amount of spammers in the past they placed in some trickery to try and catch possible spam.  Unfortunately, there was a word that was added to the spam catch that was causing premoderation meltdown.  Please report it if you run into this issue again.

We still have to cut-n-paste our replies because we are logged out after awhile even though it shows us logged in. So we have to log out, then sign back in again and paste it.

This forum is utter garbage. Nobody post here any more. What's the point?

The forum used to be quite active. Over the last couple of years, it faced an overwhelming infestation of spambots. Many became frustrated and left. A large number left for another particular reason. With dwindling numbers, others left for other forums with more activity.

It also suffered major bugs after another as well. There are still some that have yet to be fixed.

I find this to be an extremely annoying bug that needs to be fixed.

I keep on getting the message when I submit a posting that a moderator will have to approve it.

The exact wording which appears in a yellow box at the top of the screen is:

"Your forum post has been submitted and will be posted be posted after a moderator approves it"

What is this, and what triggers it?  Do you get it if you take too much time to compose the thought, or do you get it when you're posted several time to a thread?

What ever the cause, could you please advise so that we can avoid triggering the issue?

    Thank you,
