I won't lie, I saw the cover of this at my local comic book store, and decided not to pick it up and check it out. Why? The cover reminds me an awful lot of "Ultimate Spider-Man", and I REALLY dislike that show. I love the drawing, but the show itself... Eh *shrugs*, so I decided to leave it be.

Is that show really that bad. I haven't really heard anything good about it.

I'm gonna buy a couple more issue to see if it's worth continuing. I'll hopefully have made up my mind by the end of the first arc.

Right now, I'm on the fence with this series.

It seems like loeb has possibly read one or two nova issues and guardians of the galaxy and decided what his idea of the history is. Read the issue wasn't a fan. The usual kid and bully at school reminds me of Richard rider back in the 70s, also it seems the helmet gives the powers and has anyone ever heard of the black helmet novas no well you have now. Also novas in the old days were all xandarians, I think the are trying to reflect the green lantern success DC has.

Jeff loeb doesn't seem like he wants to write unless he can create his own version of a character like hulk and now nova. Problem is Richard rider isn't big enough to definatly be brought back, I hope he does because he will always be nova for me but I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 years all new fans only know Sam Alexander nova. He is already in cartoons and coming up in the marvel heroes mmo.

I bought the first issue to see and won't buy another, though I hear it is probably crossing over with avengers in future so I might have to get an issue sigh.

The major problem with continuity in this book is the the fact that Gamora and Rocket Raccoon didn't know each other 17 years ago. They only met each other recently.

My problem is that I don't care about the character of Sam Alexander. I feel like we've seen his type of story done to death. Nothing about it is really unique.

    Spoiler: Show

A lot of people are upset when Sam's Dad is telling a story about his time in the Nova Corps 17 years ago when they have to rescue Rocket Racoon and Gamora. Both Rocket and Gamora are said to be members of the GotG despite the fact that the GotG were only formed very recently, and both Rocket and Gamora haven't met until Annihilation.

It's not that big of a deal lol

Ah, okay. While I too don't see it as a massive thing to have a sook over, I do think that it is a mistake that should've easily been caught by the editor. Have no idea who is editing this.

Will give my thoughts on the issue when I eventually get it, lol.

This issue was riddled with horrible inaccuracies as far as I know.
