Last I saw galactus was at the end of the Thor arc with him trying to et the world tree. At the end he took on a new herald who used to be a preacher and linked surfer to a point on earth so the further way he goes the weaker he becomes, oh and surfer can become human again at will. Surfer has since worked with namor dr strange red she hulk and iron fist a the new defenders. surfer also now seems to act like an idiot at times when human like not wanting to wet clothes not like the highly experienced scientist from a highly advanced world he is from.
