Probably the best thing marvel is bringing out at present, Thor hasn't been treated better since Walt simonsons legendary run and I don't think art wise I have ever seen Thor look better. I love the thors from three different eras. This is the complete package, just goes to show certain writers just seem to click with certain characters. If this continues as it is it will be talked about for decades to come. I hear mangog is coming I can't wait.
you wilding.....
or maybe you were trapped in Asgard jail
while JMS and Coipel was doing The Mighty Thor
Thor had such a seriousness to him.. like a "I'm not holding back anymore" approach. He just been reborn, all other God's dead and gone.. No Odin.. God on a mission.. Nowwww starting to find out what life and being a God, a leader, and a King is REALLY about. Nowww starting to grow up and gain knowledge. found out he has been cloned by a friend.. his other good friend (Steve Rogers) was dead "because of" Tony Stark. Woooooooo boi!
I liked the JMS run and Coipels art is good but i prefer the art team we have at present.
JMS had a few things I wasnt as keen on such as sgard on earth never liked that and it was only the city which wouldnt be home to me if I was a god of the hunt ect I would want to be back in my realm. It made for a bit of a messy clean up after wards like Helas realm ect and further writters since seem to look at it differently. I hope they put it all right soon. There were great moments like most of issue 2-5 really. The Bor returns had a few problems for me in that Bor had a lot of power that matched Odin. From what I seemed to understand with pantheons in Thor and in Hercules they seem to be having a leaders power to be handed down such as from Odin to Thor. If so why did Bor have power equal to Odin this wasnt explianed. It could be his power was never handed down and Odin gained a new pantheon leaders power when he merged with his brothers but then the fear itself event seemed to discredit that (that wasnt anything to do with JMS though he would have haddled that much better). I respect JMS run but I put it behind Stan Lees original stories and Walt Simonsons work (which is the best Thor for me) and at present Jason Arron is writting Thor better to me than JMS did. He is only 4 issues in and might drop the ball big time but so far so good.

I'm curious of what young Thor did in the cave... It must have been crazy for Gorr to treat it like it's sacred ground.

I can see him defeating Gor..but I am surprised to hear his future timeline is adjusted and altered by defeating Gor. I was hoping Gor was going to be around for a long time..and possible villain for others.
It hasn't been ajusted yet- unless you count present Thor turning up at the end of the issue just as Old Thor has given up, seems time travel is on the cards. This does make sense since Gorr was looking for Chronux- The palace of Infinity where the time gods reside, so that he can travel to a certain point, though we dont know where yet and Thor was on his way there, after saving the library from Gorr's minions who were trying to cover his tracks. Really looking forward to next issue since although it is the last of the arc- it is supposed to be from inside Gorr's head as the narrator.
Nice I still haven't read it yet..this sounds promsing by below poster..LOL!

Excuse my language ..but Hott damn! By Odin's Bristling Beard is this a great comic! This is what the doctor ordered! This title is saving my faith in comics! Soooo much fun..excitement..and suspense to read! I have already read this issue 5times and love the art to boot! Kudos! The art has little tidbits..and the background characters expressions are priceless..like some characters are breaking the fourth wall! I love it! Gorr is uber creepy! "& there was a god whose flesh was made of stone...he asked if i was a god....". ----and Gorr toyed with him for 9days And hope young Thor lasted half as long.....Crazy!!! man..where was this Aaron on Hulk??? So..this arc is ending soon? What can Aaron possibly do for an encore???

Man Aaron has me hooked by the nose! Every issue just leaves my mouth watering for the next one. So now we have modern Thor in the far future while Gorr is in the far distant past??!!! Is Gorr going after the Elder gods? Buri? How will this wrap up? I'm also hungry for some knuckle busting fights.

Although I only skimmed it at the LCS, this issue continued the high quality of the run so far. It does look like Thor may actually defeat Gor (changing his future self) in the final issue of the arc! This is shaping up nicely and Aaron is off to an excellent start. And the art is fantastic.
