In the original lineup, Yondu Udonta all the way...the Zatoans were the noble but tragic Native-Americans of the Centauri system. Plus he has a sweet head-fin, and can steer his arrows in mid-flight by whistling at different frequencies. In the 21st century lineup, either Moondragon or Cosmo. Moondragon because she turned into an actual dragon (duh), and Cosmo because I love me a psionic spacedog!

@Talon
Don't get me wrong. GotG was better written but he main reason why I cared for the book so much was because of the original IW Watch members

Warlock by leaps and bounds. Then Gamora followed by Drax. I was a huge Infinity Watch fan.
Guardians of the Galaxy was honestly leaps and bounds better than IW ever was. Abnett and Lanning did better comics with gotg than jim starlin ever did with the Watch. The watch was very 90s....in a bad way. IW was a good title for the first year. Then it crumbled fast with Infinity Crusade from what I recall. It was nowhere near as fun and great as Guardians. Honesly IW was only good because of adam warlock. Everything else was corny and lame.

I like the whole team since they played off each other perfectly. They all brought their qualities. My favorites though when first reading GotG was always Adam Warlock, Drax, Gamora and Star Lord. I went into the book liking truly caring most for them. Those 4 are the sole reason I read most of that series and picked up some issues. Then of course, I dug rocket raccoon, groot, mantis and major victory. Vance was the only one I liked from the original guardians.

The phoenix was a member. Jean would have wanted the phoenix to find Scott as occured in the latest X-men. Phoenix on the gog would have time to cancel out anything that interfers with Scott Summers life.

I agree. He was a very different character. Only good thing was his powerset.

well, I am normally a Warlock fan, the most recent Warlock wasn't the same character I knew from the Infinity Watch days, and I didn't find the change all that compelling.
