A storyline loosely based on 'Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire' maybe? I also agree that some new characters would be a good idea as well such as Vulcan. I know he's been around for the last several years but it would be great to have him on the screen.

For a new X-Men animated series, I would like to see such characters as Exlier, Anole, and Indra. I would like to see them not as young teens, but older teens age wise eighteen or nineteen years of age.
I definitely would love to see the New X-Men much older and as actual X-Men! It would bring something new to the franchise!

Sorry I didn't seeany ufficial news of this new X-men cartoon , can someone give me the link and the detail of this cartoon?
Actually, this board was just about talking about what we want to see in the next X-Men cartoon. There hasn't been any news of a new X-Men cartoon that I'm aware of (although I would love to see another X-Men cartoon come out soon!) Sorry about this.

Epic Epic Epic idea but but but there is too much wiggle room for the writers.glass half full the show would be done as seaturkey said and have the legendary X-Men play more of a supporting role.add a little realism like the vets going missions and making the rookies stay behind for their own safety.but the twist should be that the rookies aren't all kids and teens but a wide range of ages.they should have younger vets like Cannonball and the New Mutants as chaperones.but add in the students at the JGSHL and the their experiences so that new and old fans can have a true variety of characters to get to know.and the best thing is that it wouldn't be all about the mutants that are already established but about the ones just emerging into the crazy life as mutants.and yes they do need to do Schism in order for the show to make sense and not have the same old new twist on characters.but the glass half empty of the wiggle room the writers have is that the can choose money over common sense and focus on it on everyone else.
I look at the wiggle room as a plus, cause really who wants to see the villians of an X-book be a bunch of 12 yo's?? Certainly not any long time fans, thats for sure. Like you said the schism storyline wasnt firing on all cylinders so the changes could only be an improvement IMO. Now, while yes, money is the bottom line of a company, a good product sells better than a half-assed one, and if WAXM show proved anything its that you don't f*ck with fanboi's love of their heroes. By making the kids/students the focus you avoid those issues almost completely, so the nerdrage never has a chance to overload.
Besides, its about time characters like Mercury (my personal fav new mutant), Armor, and so on get a chance to gain some ground. New fans are just that NEW, so they dont have any prior experience and therefore any prior hang-ups with the characters in question. Meanwhile, since it would focus on the younger generation of mutants, the old school fans don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to the characterizations/canon to complain about. PS: thank you for your support

X-Men done right starring the O5. Perfect timing and they can expand the cast every season.

I'd actually like them to do a show based on the current split between those on utopia and those in the JGSHL. You could have the legendary Xmen play supporting roles while the actual stars are the new mutants/kids and how they perceive the things going on around them, both within the Xmen and the world at large.
It'd be a great way to keep the long time fans happy, allowing them to see their all-time favorites, while also introducing the viewers to as many of the new generation as possible.
Plus, lets be honest, who doesnt wanna see that schism fight between Wolverine and Cyclops in animation? It'd be EPIC!
'Turk, I have to absolutely agree with you here (crazy huh?). A Marvel Now version of the X-Men would make the most sense, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's in the works. Schism may have been rushed and not firing on all 8 cylinders as a comic, but stretch out an animated show and it would be AWESOME. Half a season of the actual Schism, followed by the seperation of Utopia and Westchester (I refuse to say Team Cyclops or Team Wolverine, since there's much more to each side than their leaders... and it's to Twilightish, i.e. lame). Instead of adding the Avengers, it can just be Westchester vs Utopia ending in the death of Xavier. Season two could easily follow up with the Original 5 coming to the future, put right imbetween the fallout between both sides.
