It wasn't strictly a Wolverine story, but Wolverine played a key role. Uncanny X-Men Annual #11. X-Men vs. Horde. Might be my favorite one-shot of all time.

Mariko showed Wolverine he was a man. Silver Samurai controling Wolverine's life makes a good story.

I guess it would be either the "Weapon X" storyline in MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS or ORIGIN.

It's hard to argue that Spider-man vs. Wolverine wasn't the best comic marvel ever made. The only other ones were Fantastic Four vs. The X-men and Avengers vs. The X-men.

I like the introduction of Omega Red arc, drawn by Jim Lee. One of the first comic books I'd ever read.

Chris Claremont's Wolverine stories or any Wolverine stories from the 1980s and early to mid 1990s. I still can't remember that character that Wolverine clawed in the eye out in the forest during a bout.

All the X-men stories used to be about the next time they see the Juggernaut. That of course is because Wolverine is around.

It may not be a "story" but that fight between him and Cyber while tumbling down a highway cliffside and landing on a semitruck in the rain was pretty epic. Wolverine thought he had Cyber when he swiped his face (the seemingly vunerable spot as the rest of his body is covered in adamantium) only to reveal a adamantium skeleton as well. You could see the "oh ****" look on wolverine's face when he realized his opponent had no weakspot to exploit.

Wolverine vs. Juggernaut
That's not a story.
