Only difference is that it's the Avengers that pushed the Phoenix to that point. So if there were a discussion of who were at more fault, it would be the aggressors who thought they knew better.

this is one of those issues that you will never convince someone of what reality really is.

Its like asking who is the greatest fighter, or football team ever.  People are so biassed that they will not EVER see the truth.  No matter which side you take.

who was wrong: were mutants backing a dictator?  should the avengers sent someone different to talk in the beginning?

who was in the right? mutants justified due to there are now new mutants no matter what the cost?  avengers right because they said pheonix would take control of who ever it possessed.  which happened?

Even if the Avengers weren't involved, human ego would have made the Phoenix 5 go too far with their belief that these were free wishes, and even if they were able to keep the cosmic being and not get destroyed, the need for energy and where to get it couldn't be avoided and the outside universe would have to be continually sacrificed to maintain their perfect world, because the Phoenix needs sustenance according to the Kree's Supreme Intelligence, Thor's hammer attack seemed to have proven this. There were clues to show that the Phoenix wasn't some genie out to make one world of the whole universe a perfect place. The X-Men were arrogant to think that they were more special then the rest of the universe and the Shi'ar knew what a major mistake they were making and Hope knew it when she had a taste of it's addictive power.

Something was bound to go wrong if the X-Men kept the Phoenix, which they realized later on, and Hope, not Cyclops, made the right choice of letting it go which restored the mutant race which Cyclops thinks he deserves some credit for.

The Avenger may not have had all the information when it came to the Phoenix, although they had Beast with them, but Cyclops was more wrong then they were in the end and I hope Hope confronts him to tell him that it was him who almost blew it. They'll probably will since I won't be surprised if he wants her to be the mutant messiah again and lead the new mutants like they were sheep, since he seems to be losing it and drinking the kool-aid like Wolverine has been saying.

Talon would never agree with something that makes sense. As long as Cyclops or mutants are involved, he'll always side against them no matter how stupid the argument is.

You have to admit Talon that the Avengers were wrong one some things on this event.I'm not going to bring up the beginning because that argument would last for months.the Avengers misjudged their ability to stop a cosmic entity they had very little knowledge of.it was a valiant try but it also lead to the P5 getting their powers.they also jumped the gun when the P5 was actually doing good for the world which lead to a lot of unnecessary conflict.none of us truly know if the P5 would've tried to rule the world but I will say with Emma and Namor being former villains there was that chance.honestly I would accept that Majik would have been the first to get corrupted but that point was negated by the Avengers attacking.yes I 100% agree that Namor was in the wrong for attacking Wakanda but honestly that is part of his nature as a king/ruler.I honestly expected him to do something stupid like that I just didn't think it would be that extreme and he deserved to be the first of the P5 to fall.I honestly believe that Cyclops was mostly in his right mind until the P5 were attacked and then his judgement became dark.Emma always was and always will be a villain no matter how anyone spins it.imo the writers had the wrong mutants become the P5.other than Scott I think it should have been Magneto Storm instead of Namor and Majik.I honestly loved the concept of the P5 but hated the mutants chosen.I say that because it is fact that the Phoenix used individuals that had psionic powers or the potential for psionics plus able to wield incredible power.only Emma fitted the used to be normal for a Phoenix host.Scott can wield great power plus have very minor psionic history thanks to Jean and his dealing with the Void.but Namor,Majik and Colossonaught were never supposed to even been considered as host.but unfortunately Marvel decided that money was more important than fan approval.

I do wonder one thing.  Scarlet witch was involved in the story.  How much of her being involved also effected the rebirth?  hope also being involved.

Wrong they feared that HOPE would go dark pheonix, as she was its intended host.  The avengers created a self fulfilling prophecy by ****in' with cosmic beings far beyond their understanding.  If they wouldve allowed the PF to merge with Hope as intended then none of the bad stuff wouldve happened.

Not to mention that the P5 were doing GREAT THINGS with the power, everything from curing babies of birth defects to feeding the WORLD and for their efforts what did they get?  Harrassment and antaganization from the Avengers.  You prod a bull and sooner or later you get the horns, everything that went wrong was the avengers fault.
