Me buying the comic is giving it a chance. And the interview with Waid saying he doesn't know how he is going to have Hulk talk.  I like the story..I just not happy at what I see as a regression.  I have never been a guy to wait for it to be spelled out for me..I try to read between the lines. But I have been wrong before..I thought Jason Aaron was the next Peter David Messiah coming to ressurect the Hulk...we were wrong..LOL. But If Waid reads these posts or someone on the Hulk staff..we might get what we want. But if people are acting like they don't care...then why would they change it. I have already emailed them on my opinion. At the end of the book there is a place to send them feedback.

Regardless, I agree that it is too early to tell how Waid will treat the character. We'll just have to wait and see. 

It just upsets me that the Avengers movie has such a big influence on my beloved character. That and Disney, shareholders and investors. I have a feeling this might help Hulk get a movie but at what expense? It seems its always safe for Marvel to go back to Savage Hulk when they feel like it. Peter David had the same problem Marvel forced Savage Hulk back..after he resurected the character and made him interesting. It just makes sense following A+X, AvX and Avengers Assemble how Hulk is going to talk. It was mentioned in Indestructible Hulk #1 banner seemed not to remember Hulk fighting Emma in AvX. Not knowing what Hulk knows is showing they are going backwards. But I will still buy the comic Waid can write and I do enjoy the story. Just upset that 20 years of progression being flushed.

If hulk is talking like he is in a+x or avengers assemble....we have problems.  And ALL Hulk fans need to speak out..lets see how this plays out though.  Somehow Waid has made me a fan of a two bit loser known as the Spot in DD...but yea Waid needs to figure Hulks voice & soon

Since it's too early to really say hulk will be mindless, it sure is a concern, but what I was really thrilled about is the Banner part.  I mean, Bruce Banner is too often put aside for the green goliath, and what I enjoy the most is the relation between them, so I'm eager to read more from Waid to see where he is going with this.  And I certainly hope that they will keep this great artist for a long time with this run, great stuff overall, a 8/10 for me !

That is true..I am glad Banner is getting real face time. I am not a fan of Pak's take on Banner..to much like Indiana Jones for me with super math. I did like Bruce Jones take on Banner.

I loved this Banner. He has something to prove... Banner is the smartest one there is!!!

He took out Mastermind. Check. Next on the smartest villains list...

I'm cutting Pak some slack because much of what he did on Banner was pick up the pieces that Loeb couldn't handle all while tied up and having his focus on other books at that time.

Any writer or artist when pressed for time (JRjr) can't put out their best work.

There's depth in this book and I hope it stays that way.  Finally Banner has a better outlook on the Hulk.

He can't be cured, only managed.  Enough running. It's time to face who he is and deal with it.  Great start!

Pak choose to work with Loeb. And Pak was putting out two issues a month. Since his return he had 35 issues to tell his story. We are cutting slack to a writer who went to school to write? Pak spread himself thin..because he was in it for the money. He wanted to do Incredible Herc, Silver Surfer mini and War Machine..that how you get more money you pick up more projects. And Pak was hot coming off of Planet Hulk and WWH. He was in demand..but he has showed he can't write earth based characters on earth. Pak would do better writing a strictly cosmic book. And honestly Banner hasn't tried to cure himself for a while until Hulk did what he did with Doom. I can't go back far enough to remember Bruce actively trying to rid himself of the Hulk. Doc Samson merging the personalities back together in #377 was the last active rememdy I seen Bruce take. You just admitted in another thread its okay to erase Hulk and Bruce's origin that made sense to fit a new writer's take.  I have no problem with Banner wanting to shine..my problem is The movie Avengers injecting its influence on my character Hulk. Now Waid doesn't know how Hulk is going to talk. Give me a break. Avengers Assemble and AvX is all I need to know how Hulk is going to talk. He no more the cunning Green Scar beast with gladiator training. You don't have to like my post..but don't ever in your life question my love for Hulk and Banner dude. We can go to war if you want.
