In real life Quesada and Alonso are trying to destroy the MU. In the comics, Thanos would work. He would see it as a gift to Death.

The obvious choices would be cosmic/mystical entities such as Adam Warlock, Thanos, Dormammu, Mephisto, or even the Celestials.  But if you want to keep the destruction confined more locally to planet earth, then probably Doctor Strange or Reed Richards could get the job done.

I'd like to see society release a space plan that sends itself away from the planet. When they return at their lightspeed trip it is 100 years later and a new species has taken over the earth and found a way to subugate the other species in life.

The Superhero's must spend their lives attacking the society they used to defend and lose their war day by day.

This is something I thought about but the one that I think would destroy the Marvel Universe is Spider-Man.

While many of you would think "Hell No!" but here's how it would happened.

In old Spider-Man comics (don't know which one), Norman Osborn wanted Peter Parker to be his heir instead of Harry but failed. In this, What if Norman succeeded? What if Norman sucessfully broke Peter to the point that he did became his new heir, but something bad happened which led to Norman ultimately regretting his decision and Peter becomes something far worse that Peter would destroy the Universe as the Red Goblin, leaving Norman's decision to recruit both Heroes and Villains to stop him. This would be one man versus the entire universe, but ultimately the one who might be capable of stopping Peter is Harry as the New Spider-Man.

Heck, the whole Marvel Universe is one big What If? story, these days. Nothing makes any sense anymore because everything is basically being written by fans. Sometimes I just wish Galactus would get it over with and finally eat the earth.

Damn I miss the What If? Series.it made a lot of stories back in the days doable.it is thanks to What if? that Darwin and Vulcan came back.it was fun and at the same time border line serious.it made you think that Marvel was actually written by fans of the MU. Well unfortunately those days are long gone
