Anyone who follows me on Twitter knows I'm a HUGE wrestling fan. From classic stuff to the current WWE and TNA action as well as indies, I just love it all. In the '90s, like so many others, I got back into wrestling because of ECW and the Monday Night Wars. I'd spend Monday nights at various friends' houses, flipping between WCW Monday Nitro and WWE (then WWF) Monday Night Raw.
Suffice to say, I was super pumped when some of the other wrestling marks here at Marvel HQ got me hooked on DDP Yoga, the workout system designed by wrestling great Diamond Dallas Page. I honestly do my DDP Yoga every day now and give it all the thumbs up.
In a bit of good luck and timing, DDP was coming up to NYC for some meetings and a few big DDP Yoga classes, so we got him to come by Marvel HQ. We were fortunate to have DDP at Marvel for a few hours to shoot some video for our Marvel AR app--which you can see in AVENGERS ARENA #1, THOR: GOD OF THUNDER #3 and INDESTRUCTIBLE HULK #2--as well as chat with the staff and record an incredible episode of our This Week in Marvel podcast. He talks about growing up loving Thor and really digging "Marvel's The Avengers" film, but my favorite parts of the podcast are his stories about his wrestling career. Incredible stuff!
